- Type of Treatment: Inpatient treatment tends to be more expensive than outpatient treatment due to the comprehensive care and accommodation provided.

- Location of the Facility: Facilities located in high-cost living areas or those offering luxury amenities typically charge more.

At The Bardo, we believe in transparency and that includes breaking down the cost of our detox and rehab services. Here’s what you can expect:

We offer a free initial assessment
This is the first step in your recovery journey where we evaluate your physical and mental health to create a personalised treatment plan. -
Rehab
Once the detox phase is completed the client then progresses to rehab. Although 24/7 support is still in place, the client is unlikely to require such comprehensive support as they do in detox. The client is free from their substance of choice and the medications will have been reduced, if not finished. This is where other counsellors and practitioners begin to engage with the client and the work of rehabilitation gets underway. Also other program activities take place such as life coaching, personal training, nutritional counselling, massage, acupuncture, and recreational activities.

Detoxification
Detox tends to be the costliest phase as it is where medications are provided and 24/7 medical support is required. -
Aftercare
Once the client completes their stay and returns home, they will continue with counselling support for a period of time to navigate any difficulties faced and overcome through support. These sessions are included in the cost of their stay.
Inpatient vs Outpatient Rehab
The choice between inpatient and outpatient rehab can greatly influence the cost. Inpatient rehab, while more expensive, provides 24/7 care and support. Outpatient rehab, on the other hand, is more affordable and allows you to maintain your daily routine.
Financing Rehab Treatment
We understand that the cost of detox and rehab can be a concern. However, there may be additional funding streams that apply to clients outside of personal funding. Our consultant can help you with accessing your Superannuation. There may be opportunities to access NDIS funding if the client already has a plan with the appropriate funding allocation. Additionally, our Veteran liaison officer can help ex-service personal access DVA funding.
Understanding the cost of detox and rehab can help the client appreciate where the money is being spent and assist with the decision-making process. It’s a large investment but one that will pay dividends going forward.
